• The GEMS aims to facilitate the progressive development of environmental graduates. During the 12 to 18- month mentoring period, Mentors will support Mentees in developing their environmental knowledge and skills with reference to the rubric requirements for becoming a Qualified Environmental Professional. To further enhance these efforts, we are pleased to announce that all GEMS Mentees are eligible to apply for HKIQEP Associate Membership. If  Mentees are interested in joining HKIQEP as an Associate Member, please submit your application for our consideration. For more details about our membership, please refer to http://hkiqep.org/membership-class/.   For those Mentees who graduated from a non-environmental related degree, you are encouraged to engage and talk with Mentor to seek his/her advice on the potential gaps and extra efforts you may need to employ to become a Professional Member of the HKIQEP. Please share your aspirations and expectations and agree upon the goals to be achieved, and record the learning outcomes from these discussions on your logbook after every discussion.   To obtain the latest news about GEMS, please refer to http://hkiqep.org/gems-news/. Wishing you a fruitful and happy mentee experience!

  • The HKIQEP welcomes the environmental initiatives made in the Chief Executive’s Policy Address and applauds the commitment to the practice of setting out a series of long-term roadmaps. Much of the actual implementation of environmental management measures requires time, as well as significant economic investment over time to develop the relevant supporting infrastructure and capabilities - the long-term roadmaps provide a more stable and predictable business environment, which in turn encourages investment in developing more sustainable assets, operations, and talent.   For full details, please refer to the attachment below.
