Since the launch of the HKIQEP Qualification in 2017, the Institute has been committed to raising professional standards, strengthening capacity building, and promoting excellence across Hong Kong’s environmental sector. HKIQEP Becomes a Statutory Body – A New Milestone

With HKIQEP’s transition into a statutory body, the significance of professional recognition and talent development has reached a new level. This milestone reinforces our mandate to uphold high professional standards and to continue building a robust, future-ready environmental talent pool for Hong Kong.

2025 Pledging Ceremony – Renewed Commitment from Industry

On 19 November 2025, HKIQEP hosted a new Pledging Ceremony, during which many of our long-standing supporters reaffirmed their commitment, while new organisations pledged for the first time. Their collective support strengthens our mission to enhance the professionalism, integrity, and competency of environmental practitioners.

Throwback to the Past Pledging Event
In October 2017, we have called for a pledge to support the continuous professional development of qualified environmental professionals in Hong Kong, and we are delighted to have below 45 companies from a wide range of industries, including property developers, engineering firms, consultancies, public utility companies and statutory bodies, have pledged to recognize qualifications accredited by the HKIQEP for environment-related positions, and to encourage relevant staff to pursue an HKIQEP qualification.
