Following the tragic fire incident in Tai Po yesterday, which has caused profound loss and grief, the HKIEIA, HKIOA, HKIQEP and EMAHK have, after careful deliberation, decided to postpone the Joint-Institute Christmas Party originally scheduled for Thursday, 4 December 2025.

At this moment, it does not feel appropriate to proceed with festive celebrations. We believe it is more fitting to stand together in mourning and solidarity with everyone affected.

We intend to reschedule the Joint-Institute Party to early next year. A new date and further details will be announced as soon as the situation stabilises and after further coordination among all partners.

Our deepest condolences go out to everyone who has lost loved ones or been impacted by this tragedy. Please take care of yourselves and one another during this difficult time.
