The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Council, the Executive Manager serves as the operational lead for HKIQEP, responsible for driving the Institute’s strategic growth and operational excellence. The position oversees all institute functions, enforces strict governance and compliance frameworks and cultivate strong partnerships with key government, corporate, and professional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Council Secretariat, partnering directly with the Council on strategic agendas, performance reporting and governance compliance.
- Cascade board strategies into operational roadmaps and guide managers toward achieving organizational goals.
- Build and champion strategic partnerships with government bureaus, corporate leaders, academic institutions and professional bodies.
- Oversee the Institute’s core operations and resource management, including professional assessment, certification, accreditation, membership growth, event and marketing, budgeting and risk management.
- Lead, mentor and develop team members, optimizing team structure and driving performance across all operational units.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business
Administration, or a related discipline. - Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience, preferably within
a professional body, non-profit organization, or membership-based association. - Proven track record in securing sponsorships, fundraising, and driving
sustainable revenue growth. - Deep knowledge of corporate governance, financial oversight, risk management,
and strategic planning. - Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of environmental policies, regulatory frameworks, and
sustainability trends in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area / internationally.
