1. Background
The Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals (HKIQEP) has established a Reciprocal Recognition Agreement (RRA) with the institution listed below. This agreement allows eligible Corporate Members to apply for HKIQEP membership without undergoing a full Professional Assessment, provided they have previously passed a formal review and interview with their parent institution.
This pathway is restricted to members admitted through standard procedures; it does not apply to candidates who joined their parent institution via another RRA.
All applications are subject to membership verification by their parent institution, endorsement by the HKIQEP Qualification Panel and final approval by the General Council. HKIQEP retains full discretion over admissions, reserving the right to request additional assessments or decline applications.

2. Eligibility
Applicants must be Corporate Members of the above institution (in an environmental discipline, if applicable) and meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a recognised environmental degree and have passed the HKIQEP Professional Assessment (Part I); or
- Hold a recognised engineering degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in posts of increasing responsibility in environmental field.
Applicants are also required to demonstrate a period of relevant professional training, responsible experience and ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

*The membership subscription year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Members elected at any time during the financial year are required to pay the full annual fee. However, a 50% pro-rata discount applies to successful applicants whose professional membership is formally approved by the General Council between 1 July and 31 December.

Candidates are responsible for paying the above fees in a timely manner to facilitate the application process. When submitting evidence of payment, the payor’s name must be written on the receipt to avoid processing delays.
