Swire Coca-Cola used to have manufacturing plants in Lai Chi Kok, Tsuen Wan and Quarry Bay to produce Coca-Cola. Swire’s foray into Coca-Cola’s bottling business began in 1965 when they acquired a bottling plant in Lai Chi Kok. Later in 1991, the bottling plant in Sha Tin Siu Lek Yuen officially opened, standing at 143 meters tall with 18 stories, making it the tallest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the world to date.
