The Opportunity
HKIQEP is seeking a visionary and strategic Executive Director to lead the Institute into its next phase of growth. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a passion for environmental advancement, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to secure resources that support HKIQEP’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute long-term strategies to enhance HKIQEP’s presence and influence in the environmental sector.
• Program & Membership Growth: Expand professional certification programs, continuing education, and membership engagement initiatives.
• Stakeholder & Government Engagement: Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, corporate partners, educational institutions, and professional bodies to drive collaboration and secure resources for HKIQEP’s initiatives.
• Organizational & Financial Sustainability: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and revenue generation strategies, including funding opportunities, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to ensure the successful execution of HKIQEP’s programs and initiatives.
• Industry Advocacy & Innovation: Stay informed of global and local environmental policies, trends, and best practices to position HKIQEP as a thought leader.
Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of executive management experience, preferably in a professional body, non-profit, or membership-based organization.
• Strong track record in fundraising, sponsorship development, and revenue generation.
• Deep understanding of corporate governance, financial management, and strategic planning.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of environmental policies, regulations, and sustainability trends in Hong Kong and beyond.

Project Coordinator (9-Month Contract)

The Opportunity
HKIQEP is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the implementation of a publicity and education project funded by the Environment and Conservation Fund.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive support to the Project Committee under the supervision of the Project Leader.
• Arrange and support internal and external project-related meetings.
• Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Serve as a point of contact between the Project Committee, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Assist in handling enquiries from external parties.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, budgets, and records.
• Prepare reports and updates for management and the ECF Secretariat.
• Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Support procurement processes and vendor coordination.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and expectations.
• Handle administrative tasks such as filing, invoicing, and coordinating logistics.
Qualifications & Experience
• Tertiary education with at least 4 years of experience in administration, preferably within a professional body, non-profit, or membership-based organization.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and PDF tools.
