The application period for HKIQEP Professional Assessment Part 2 (Round B) is now commenced. For those who have passed Professional Assessment (Part I) in 2016-2020, they are highly recommended to take part the Professional Assessment (Part II) this year. - Round A – For candidates who have passed Professional Assessment (Part I) in 2016-2019 *Already completed* Round B – For all candidates Application period: 1 November 2020 ~ 15 January 2021 Briefing session: 17 December 2020 Professional Assessment (Part II) interview dates: 20 March/ 27 March/ 10 April/ 17 April 2021 - The Professional Membership Application Guidelines (2020-21), application form and other relevant documents are available to download now. HKIQEP is pleased to announce the launch of the Accreditation Scheme for Environmental Degree Programmes at the undergraduate level. Interested programmes are invited to apply to the scheme. The Fireside chat with Prof Christine Loh, Honorary Advisor of HKIQEP, co-organised by HKIQEP and HKWPEA, was successfully held on 28 Oct. We had a deep-dive and interactive discussion with around 100 audiences participated online. . During the chat, the speakers touched on topics including 1) China’s carbon neutrality goal 2060 and what it means for Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area 2) what it takes to become a sustainable leader 3) how the post-pandemic world can be sustainable etc. . The 6th International Symposium on Regional Air Quality Management in Rapidly Developing Economic Regions and the 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Air Forum (6RAQM) was successfully held on 20-21 October 2020. The GEMS Mentors & Mentees Briefing Session was successfully held on 28 September 2020. Our Mentors and Mentees joined this informative briefing and we received a lot of positive feedback from them. Since the main objective of the GEMS is to support mentees in developing their environmental knowledge and skills with reference to the rubric requirements for becoming a Qualified Environmental Professional, we are pleased to announce that all HKIQEP Associate Members are welcome to join as mentees, whether or not you are a GES participant.
