Professional Assessment
1. General
To qualify for Professional Membership, candidates must satisfy ALL of the following criteria:
- Meet the requirements for academic qualifications and working experience set by HKIQEP (see https://hkiqep.org/membership-class/)
- Receive support from three Professional Members, Founding Fellows or Fellows who personally know the candidate
- Candidates may go to https://hkiqep.org/membership-directory/ to view the full list of HKIQEP members
- Complete and pass the qualification process set by HKIQEP

2. Qualification Process
The qualification process consists of three steps:
- Step 1. Professional Assessment (Part I)
- Step 2. Professional Membership Application
- Step 3. Professional Assessment (Part II)
All three steps must be performed in order.
Candidates who have passed both Professional Assessment (Part I) and (Part II) will be considered to be elected as the Professional Members by the HKIQEP Council.
Step 1: Professional Assessment (Part I)
The next Professional Assessment (Part I) is scheduled for 13 September 2025 Saturday (in case of inclement weather, it will be postponed to 14 September 2025 Sunday)

Step 2: Professional Membership Application
To be eligible for Professional Membership, candidates must:
- Meet all requirements for Professional Membership as stated on the top of this page
- Have passed Professional Assessment (Part I) within the last five years (60 months from date of notification letter)
- The application form and application link will be available in September 2025

Step 3: Professional Assessment (Part II)
Applications will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility upon receipt.
Eligible candidates will receive an invoice for the assessment fee, and will be provided with the dates of the Written Test sessions.
Candidates will be invited to attend an Interview within 6 months of taking the Written
Test.

3. Fees Schedule:

- Candidates are responsible for the payment of the above fees in a timely manner to facilitate the qualification process
- When submitting evidence of payment, the Candidate’s name (and Candidate number if available) must be written on the receipt to avoid confusion
4. Appeal
Candidates who are dissatisfied with their assessment results may lodge an appeal. The following documents provide information on the appeal procedure.
